Optimal Healing Environments Assessment
Making Healing as Important as Curing
Samueli Institute’s Optimal Healing Environment Assessment™ is a comprehensive look at your organization’s social, psychological, spiritual, physical and behavioral environments and the current status of your healing-oriented practices. The assessment is critical to identify best practices and gaps in your journey to becoming an Optimal Healing Environment (OHE).
Optimal Healing Environment (OHE) Assessment™ is performed in three steps:
- 360° OHE Inventory©: an online survey of your healing-oriented practices. The data is analyzed and a report generated that identifies the strengths and weaknesses of the healing-oriented practices currently in place as well as perceived priorities at all levels of the organization and gaps in practice. This can serve as a stand-alone basic assessment.
- OHE Program Evaluation™: a confirmatory mixed-methods evaluation that validates and builds on your 360° OHE Inventory©. It is an on-site program evaluation that assesses not only the structure and processes of your organization in relation to the Optimal Healing Environments framework, but also its impact on economic, humanistic and clinical outcomes.
- OHE Gap Analysis: a comprehensive analysis and report of your organizational readiness to become an Optimal Healing Environment that assesses existing healing-oriented practices and identifies opportunities and makes recommendations based on the 360⁰ OHE Inventory© and OHE Program Evaluation™.
