Introduction to Systematic Review Workshop
This workshop offers participants the opportunity to gain the basic skills needed to conduct a systematic review as a member of a review team. Participants will understand the role of systematic reviews in evidence-based medicine; learn how methodological bias can play a role in research and systematic reviews, and gain practical tools for assessing for and working with bias issues in reviews; and learn the basic components and practical steps of conducting a literature review. An Introduction to Optimal Healing Environments
A one to two-hour presentation providing an overview of the domains of an Optimal Healing Environment; the research and evidence base for each and organizational examples of implementation.
Optimal Healing Environments for Clinicians
A one-day workshop designed specifically for clinicians- physicians, nurses and allied health professionals – that provides and in-depth review of each of the four domains of an OHE; a summary of the research in each; examples of applications in hospitals or clinics and experiential exercises.
Optimal Healing Environments Leadership Retreats
A one or two-day experiential workshop for leaders and trustees to understand the principles of an OHE and learn how they can be successfully implemented in a hospital or business setting. This retreat is designed to educate executives on the science of healing and the whole systems approach to health, well-being and healing defined in the OHE framework using self-examination, experiential learning techniques and reflection.
