Proceeding Oct03 Overview
Generalized Entanglement from a Multidisciplinary Perspective
Freiburg, Germany
October 9-11, 2003
Sponsors
Samueli Institute
Purpose & Focus
To explore and discuss the question whether entanglement between macroscopic systems and systems not treated within the quantum mechanic formalism are viable scientific ideas. If entanglement is important beyond the strict realm of physics, it would have intriguing consequences for other branches of science as well as for medicine and healing.
Audience
Basic and clinical scientists, theoretical physicists, mathematicians and information specialists, psychologists and philosophers.
Outcome
The 12 papers presented at the conference were published in a Samueli Institute Proceedings in May 2004.
