In 2001 Samueli Institute was founded as a non-profit research institute with the bold mission of transforming health care through the scientific exploration of wellness and healing. What began as a small, two-person “think tank” has grown into a thriving organization with more than 60 employees.
The Institute is proud to have a dedicated and highly-qualified staff. As we grow, we work to ensure operational effectiveness, capacity and sustainability to execute our mission. To achieve this, we seek to link operational areas to key performance indicators and enhance the efficiency of research management through the establishment of a management team that is equipped with sophisticated and streamlined management processes driven by rigorous performance measurement.
Samueli Institute could not have reached the level of success it has without the efficient processes and people that support our research. Operations and administration functions are the backbone of the Institute’s work. Our Human Resources, Information Technology, Data Management, Fiscal Operations, Development and Communications functions are vital to our sustainability and continued growth.
