
Kelly Gourdin
Program Manager
Kelly Gourdin is a Program Manager for the Samueli Institute. She received Certificate in Education, with focus on acquired brain injury, from the George Washington’s University and her Bachelors of Science from University of South Carolina, with focus in psychology and nursing.
Gourdin came to the Institute in 2006, bringing several years of military medical research and clinical case management experience, with significant expertise in traumatic brain injury. Her current position focuses on program management, research specific to healing, and the development of VA and Military programs within the Optimal Healing Environments Center. She manages one of the largest DoD funded programs (Integrative Medicine, Communication, Compassion and Chronic Care Research-IC4) and is particularly committed to the health and resilience of our service members and their families.
Formally with the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center of Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), she has served as the National Case Manager for Traumatic Brain Injury. Her experience involved interfacing with veterans, family members, clinicians, senior administrators, and network site leaders within the Veterans Administration and Department of Defense at both national and international levels.
