Samueli Institute is located in Old Town, Alexandria, Virginia across from the King Street Metro Station.
Our offices are conveniently located two stops south of Ronald Reagan National Airport (3 miles) on the Washington Metro subway system (Blue and Yellow lines). Dulles International Airport is 35 miles to the west of Alexandria.
The Alexandria AMTRAK AND VRE station is a 2 block walk. If traveling to Washington by train, you can also access the Washington Metro system upon arrival at Union Station and travel to Alexandria via Metro.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
From Washington, DC and Maryland: Take the George Washington Parkway South past National Airport into Old Town Alexandria. The Parkway becomes Washington Street. Turn RIGHT on to King Street. Proceed West about 10 blocks and our building is on the RIGHT just before the Hilton Hotel at 1737 King Street. Enter the Hotel parking garage and park in the un-reserved spaces. Walk back through the garage and exit to King Street, turn left and enter our building.
From the North (New York/Baltimore): Take I-95 South across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Immediately after the bridge, take exit 177B /Telegraph Road North/Alexandria.Follow signs to 236East/Duke Street/Alexandria Downtown and exit right on to Duke Street. Turn LEFT on to Callahan Drive in front of the Masonic Memorial. Turn Right onto King Street. Go approximately 3 blocks West on King Street and then turn LEFT into the Hilton Hotel parking garage. Walk back through the garage and exit to King Street, turn left and enter our building at 1737 King Street.
From the South (Richmond): Follow I-95 North to I-395 towards Washington DC. Take exit 5 (King Street East/Route 7). Our building will be approximately 4 miles East on King Street on the left after the King Street metro station on the right and the Hilton Hotel on the left. Turn left into the Hilton Hotel parking garage. Walk back through the garage and exit to King Street, turn left and enter our building at 1737 King Street.
From the East: Take US-50 West to the Capital Beltway (495 South/I-95 South) and across the Woodrow Wilson Bridge. Take exit 177B/Telegraph Road North/Alexandria. Follow signs to 236East/Duke Street/Alexandria Downtown and exit right on to Duke Street. Turn Left on Callahan Drive in front of the Masonic Memorial. Turn RIGHT onto King Street. Metro Transportation
Take the Blue or Yellow line train to the King Street Metro Station. Exit on the Daingerfield Road side of the station. Cross Diagonal Road, once at King Street, see brick building next to the Hilton Hotel and enter at 1737 King Street.
Visitor Parking
Enter the Hotel parking garage and park in the un-reserved spaces. Walk back through the garage and exit to King Street, turn left and enter our building.
To exit the garage, follow the sign that states “All traffic EXIT straight ahead.” You will exit on Cameron Street. The cross street is King Street.
