Guidelines for potential investigators

The mission of the Samueli Institute is to transform health care through the scientific exploration of healing.  We seek proposals for research that will advance this mission and that are aligned with one or more of the Institute’s new research domains, listed below. The Concept Proposal form is intentionally brief with the goal of guiding the Investigator to provide a summary of the proposed project.  Investigators should address each of the areas indicated on the form with sufficient detail to enable the SEC to fairly review the concept.   

The page limitations stated on the Concept Proposal form should be viewed as guidelines and not concrete restrictions. Investigators should be careful not to sacrifice critical information when summarizing the research.  All required sections of the form need to be addressed and clearly describe the proposed research to avoid misinterpretations and/or a lack of concept clarity.
