C. PURPOSE AND FOCUS: 
To discuss the impact quantum physics might have on understanding brain and consciousness processes. Discuss the Hameroff-Penrose model of Orchestrated Reduction of the Wave Function in neurotubuli of neurons as the basis for consciousness.

Basic and clinical scientists, theoretical physicists, mathematicians and information theoretical specialists, psychologists and philosophers.  

E. OUTCOME:
Publication of abstracts in the Journal of Consciousness Studies. The Samueli Institute will be combining a selected number of papers and publishing them in a Proceedings from the upcoming Generalized Entanglement meeting in Freiburg Germany, October 2003.
