PURPOSE AND
FOCUS:
To define an optimal healing environment from the perspective of providers
and identify the components of that environment; to explore whether these
components can become the standard of care; to identify strategies to
implement the fundamental components of healing within our current health
care system; to establish measurement criteria to assess the impact of an
optimal healing environment on clinical outcomes, practitioner-patient
relationships and cost.

INTENDED AUDIENCE:
Health providers and administrators, clinical research scientists, public
health officials, government officials involved in health policy, patient
advocates.

PLANNED OUTCOME:
The preparation of an article describing the content of the meeting
suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed medical journal.
