2nd European Samueli Symposium
Generalized Entanglement from a Multidisciplinary Approach
,
October 9-11, 2003
A. NAME AND LOCATION
Generalized Entanglement from a Multidisciplinary Approach
Freiburg, Germany
October 9-11, 2003
B. SPONSORS
SAMUELI INSTITUTE
C. PURPOSE AND FOCUS
To explore and discuss the question whether entanglement between macroscopic
systems and systems not treated within the quantum mechanic formalism are viable
scientific ideas. If entanglement is important beyond the strict realm of
physics, it would have intriguing consequences for other branches of science as
well as for medicine and healing.
D. AUDIENCE
Basic and clinical scientists, theoretical physicists, mathematicians and
information specialists, psychologists and philosophers.
E. OUTCOME
The papers presented at the conference were published in a Samueli Institute
Proceedings in May 2004.
