William Beckner, M.I.S.

William “Mac” Beckner, M.I.S.  is the Vice President, Information Technology and Data Management Center at the Samueli Institute. Prior to joining the Samueli Institute, Mac served as the Director of Information at the Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. While at CIM, he was active in the Cochrane Collaboration Complementary Medicine Field, an NIH funded international program aimed at collecting, evaluating and disseminating research in CAM. Mr. Beckner received his M.I.S. and his B.S. from the University of Maryland. He is the author of the book, Complementary Therapies on the Internet: A Guide for Healthcare Professionals, London: Churchill Livingstone,  2003.
